Regular Volunteer Days 

Throughout the year, every Tuesday, we welcome volunteers to help with many practical tasks, including gardening, painting, cleaning and many one-off projects.  

Why Tuesday? 

We appreciate that a week-day is not suitable for many people who would like to volunteer. But….Weekends are always full of guest groups making the place their home! So a lot of tasks can’t be done then. 

By sticking to a set day, everyone knows that if they turn up, there will be other volunteers there to enjoy fellowship with. So, don’t feel that you have to be there every week. If you are available only occasionally, why not give us a day?! If you are interested in being a volunteer please telephone or write to the Centre Manager

We love volunteers because there is a sense of fellowship, fun and purpose. This is always the case at Letton, but especially on Tuesdays! 

Volunteer Events 

From time to time, usually at quite short notice, we hold volunteer work-parties. Recent achievements include decorating the big rooms, like the library and dining room. In January 2005 we completely re-decorated the main staircase. See photos.  

Volunteer Hit Squad 

If you would like to be contacted and invited to join a volunteer event, please email or phone us. You will be added to our currently “rather select” Hit Squad contact list! 

Special Skills 

We greatly value the services of skilled people able to give their time when we have special needs. In the last year, we have needed the following skills. Sometimes we have been blessed with volunteers other times we have called in  contractors!

• Tree felling 
• Plumbing
